Onkyo Rc 764m Remote Manual

So a while back my younger son spilled whipped cream on my remote and ever since I had trouble with sticking buttons. So I went to the hardware store to figure out what size star-bit I needed to take out the screws (it's a T6 in case anybody is wondering).After unscrewing it, I still can't get the top off. It feels like something is holding it in place other than the 4 screws I just removed. I don't want to try to force it off because I don't want to chance snapping the top in half either.Is there a trick to removing the top?
